BSA JOINS WISCONSIN DEVELOPMENTAL ACADEMY
Beginning in the fall of 2012, BSA U11-U18 select teams will compete in the Wisconsin Developmental Academy League (WDA). The newly formed league was created by the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA) and outlined to all Wisconsin soccer clubs in December, 2011. Following an application process and review by WYSA officials, BSA was selected as one of twenty clubs. “We look forward to competing in the WDA” said Select Coaching Director Art Kramer. “The developmental concepts and league model are a good fit for our current players and coaches.”
Two unique features of the WDA include club versus club competition and roster flexibility on game day. With this format clubs can maximize their coaching resources and control the level of competition to ensure meaningful player performance and participation for all. “To have our Select teams at the same site on game day will help build club culture” said Kramer. “Younger players have a greater opportunity to watch older ones play, staff coaches are able to assist in games and provide our players with a more consistent and thorough evaluation, and parents with multiple kids in the program won’t have to drive halfway around the State for games.”
Additional information will be provided pending release from the WYSA.

Rainout/Cancellation Policy
Brookfield Soccer may cancel the entire day's game schedule, if the weather has created field drainage problems during the week, or if a large amount of rain is predicted for the day. Severe weather or snow may also cause a total club cancellation.
PLEASE check the BSA website for any cancellations. If games are cancelled, it will be posted by 3:00 pm during the week and 8:30 am weekends.
If a Saturday cancellation decision is made, cancelled games will be made up on the designated rain- out, make -up day. Only one total club cancellation on Saturday, that occurs during September for fall and April for spring, will be made up. Any other total club cancellations during the season are not rescheduled. This is only for Brookfield Soccer recreational home games.
If BSA closes its fields during the week, and a game is cancelled, both teams should contact their Division Director, to reschedule the game.
Individual games also may be cancelled by a referee due to severe weather, rain, or lightning. If a referee cancels a game, and the game's first half was completed, that game is considered a full game. If a referee calls a game during the first half, the teams should contact their Division Directors to reschedule the game.
The rain date for spring 2012 is May 20th.
Practices:
Practices are cancelled at the discretion of each individual coach. Teams should not practice of fields (or in front of goals) that are extremely wet or have standing water. Side grass should be used.
