2013-2014 BSA Futsal Training Information
Played with a smaller, heavier ball, the focus of BSA’s Futsal Training is ball mastery and individual ball control. Training sessions will cover a range of soccer topics---dribbling, shooting, passing and receiving, defending, attacking with numbers up, etc.... Come see why Futsal is not only fun, but can help improve your player’s game in remarkable ways.
Futsal Training Session I will run Nov. 1-Jan. 16 (10 weeks) and will cost $130
Futsal Training Session II will run Jan. 17-April 3 (11 weeks) and will cost $143
All training sessions will be held at the Brookfield Training Center (BTC) which is located at 3225 Gateway Road, Suite 400 in the Gateway West office park (this is a new location, in the building directly south of last year’s BTC location).
Each Futsal Training group will be led by a BSA Select coach.

First Touch Futsal at the BTC
For Kids Ages 3-5 Years Old
January 25-February 22, 2014
For the third winter in a row, Brookfield Soccer Association will operate and staff with its fantastic coaching staff, futsal training at the Brookfield Training Center. This is a training and teaching program, not a league with just games.
General Info: Recreational futsal sessions will be run by BSA’s rec. soccer director of coaching, Kyle Lance. Coach Kyle has over a decade of coaching youth soccer and his bio can be found at http://brookfieldsoccer.com/recreational-soccer/rec-coaching-director-kyle-s-bio/.
This program is designed to introduce soccer topics and concepts to kids ages 3-5 years old. The focus will be on individual ball mastery and for most training sessions; each kid will have a ball on their foot for 75% of each session. This is a great introductory program for young kids wanting to learn the game while having fun.
Items of Note:
-Second Session runs from January 17-April 3rd (10 weeks) BUT, the 3-5 year old group will only hold training sessions the first 5 weeks (January 25-February 22).
-3-5 year old sessions come together on Saturday’s from 3:15-4:30pm.
-Each training session will last 1 hour and 15 minutes
-Flats, indoor shoes or tennis shoes only. NO CLEATS.
-No Ball Needed.

Open Gym at the BTC

For the third winter in a row, Brookfield Soccer Association will operate and staff with its fantastic coaching staff, futsal training at the Brookfield Training Center as well as OPEN GYM. This is for any recreational, academy or select Brookfield Soccer Association players. This is not a league, nor is this training. This is an “open gym” style session where kids will be broken up into small teams and to play small sided soccer games.

-Open Gym will run only 5 weeks, not the typical 10 weeks. Open Gym will be held the last 5 weeks (March 1-30)
-Cost is $25 (pre-paid) or $10/per open gym.
-Each session will run approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

-No ball needed
Sunday 12:45-2:00pm—U11-14 players*
Saturday 3:15-4:30pm -–U6-7 players*
*U8/9/10 players may attend either session

The first session of Brookfield Soccer Association (BSA) adult futsal starts November 1st, the second session starts January 17th. Adult Futsal Registration is now open for Sunday, Thursday and Friday nights. These are the Mens/Co-Ed evenings. We will play starting at 8:15 PM each evening.
Registration is open on a first come first serve basis or until filled we have 12 players per evening. Register by Monday, December 30th for session 2, on the Futsal registration link:
FUTSAL REGISTRATION LINK
Session 1 runs from November 1-January 16th (10 dates), as we will not be playing during Christmas week, except the Thursday session which will have a make up date during Christmas week due to Thanksgiving). The cost is $115 for session 1 for each evening you sign up for.
Session 2 runs from January 17th-April 3rd (11 dates). The cost is $127 for session 2 for each evening you sign up for.
The location is just behind the old futsal training center at: BSA Training Facility, 3225 Gateway Road, Suite 400, Brookfield, WI. If you want to be a sub and can not commit to a whole session, e-mail Patrick Prondzinski at firstname.lastname@example.org which evenings you could be available and we will e-mail you if and when openings occur.

Brookfield Soccer Association is excited to offer all our recreational, select and academy players a unique opportunity this winter to be trained and coached by current and former professional soccer and Futsal National team players, as well as all our select and academy coaches. All training sessions will be held at the BSA Training Center (BTC).

What will the coaches teach and players learn?
1) Players will learn a variety of dribbling moves used by the top players in the world. At the end of Session 1 and Session 2 every player participating will have their own “GO TO” move!
2) Players will learn how to properly receive the ball with the sole of the foot and the inside of the foot.
3) Players will learn how to pass the ball with proper technique using the inside of the foot, outside of the foot and the instep.
4) Players will learn the proper technique when shooting with various parts of the foot, including approach to the ball, body position over the ball and follow through.
5) Players will learn basic team shape and spacing in 4 v 4 situations (diamond and box).
